The purpose of Calvary Chapel Living Water is to equip the saints to Invite people to Jesus, Believe in Jesus, and Serve one another in love by the Holy Spirit.

Invite People To Jesus

We believe that one of the primary reasons God has called us to gather together in His name is to invite people to Jesus. As a result, we seek to present the gospel in our services. We also reach out to our community as God leads. And we send out and support the missionaries that God has raised up.

Believe In Jesus

We believe the second reason God has called us to gather together is to grow in our belief of Jesus and learn to live out our faith. As a result, we emphasize the teaching of the whole counsel of the Word of God. Our ministries exist to help you apply the Word of God to your unique circumstances and place in life.

Serve One Another

We believe the third reason God has called us to gather together is to serve each other in love by the power of the Holy Spirit. As a result, we encourage you to exercise the gifts that God has given you to meet practical and spiritual needs. Where appropriate, we also give opportunity in our services for the body to minister to each other in prayer or Scripture or spiritual gift.

Bible

We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, that our Bibles contain accurate copies of the original documents, and that our Bibles have all the inspired books and no uninspired books. We believe that the Bible is 100% accurate regarding history and 100% accurate regarding prophecy. We believe that all difficult passages and apparent contradictions are resolved without contradiction once we know all the information. [Deuteronomy 31:9, 2 Samuel 23:1-2, Luke 24:44, John 16:12-13, 2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:19-21, 2 Peter 3:15-16, Revelation 22:18-19]

We believe that the New King James Version of the Bible is an accurate translation from the original ancient text. It is from this translation that we establish our doctrine, practice, and Statement of Faith.

God

We believe that there is one true and living God who has always existed, will always exist, and does not change. We believe that God is triune - Father, Son, Holy Spirit. We believe that God knows all things and is always present everywhere. We believe that God is all powerful and nothing consistent with His nature is impossible for Him. We believe that God is sovereign and has authority over all things. We believe that God is both holy and loving. [Genesis 1:1-5, Genesis 17:1-2, Exodus 3:1-6, Psalm 90:1-4, Psalm 139, Malachi 3:1-6, Matthew 3:13-17, Matthew 28:18-20, John 1:1-18, Romans 8:28-34, 1 John 4:7-11]

Humanity

We believe that God created man and woman in the image of God on the sixth day of creation. We believe that Adam and Eve were real people who disobeyed God in the Garden of Eden. We believe that every person is sinful and in need of a savior, and that every person has the ability and responsibility to choose to believe God. We believe that God created marriage and that He is the final authority about marriage. [Genesis 1:26-30, Genesis 2:7-25, Genesis 3, Romans 3:9-28, Deuteronomy 30:19-20, John 3:16, Philippians 2:12-13]

Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus has always existed and that He is the Creator of all that exists. We believe that Jesus is God and equal to the Father. We believe that Jesus became man and experienced what it is to be human. We believe that Jesus is absolutely perfect and without sin. We believe that Jesus died upon the cross for the sins of all humanity, that He resurrected on the third day, and that He is seated at the right hand of the Father in Heaven. [Matthew 4:1-11, Luke 1:30-35, Luke 2:1-7, John 1:1-18, John 10:22-39, Romans 5:6-21, 1 Corinthians 15:1-28]

Salvation

We believe that Jesus is the only way of salvation. We believe that believing in Jesus is the only requirement for salvation. We believe that salvation is only by God's grace and cannot be earned. We believe that all sin is completely forgiven for those who believe in Jesus. We believe that salvation begins with spiritual birth and results in a changed life. [John 3:1-21, John 14:1-7, Acts 2:37-42, Acts 4:8-12, Acts 16:30-33, Romans 5:1-11, Romans 8:28-39, Galatians 1:6-9, Ephesians 2:1-10]

Holy Spirit

We believe that angels are spiritual beings created by God to worship and serve Him. We believe that Satan and the demons are angels We believe that the Holy Spirit is God. We believe that the Holy Spirit is a person, not an impersonal force. We believe that the Holy Spirit dwells within every believer of Jesus Christ, and that the Holy Spirit empowers believers to be witnesses to Jesus. We believe that the Holy Spirit is working now to convict the world of sin, righteousness and judgment. We believe that the Holy Spirit gives spiritual gifts to every believer. [John 16:5-15, Acts 1:4-8, Acts 2:1-4, Acts 2:38-39, Acts 5:1-11, Acts 28:25-27, Romans 8:1-17, 1 Corinthians 2:10-11, 1 Corinthians 12, Ephesians 4:30, Hebrews 10:15-17]have fallen because of their rebellion against God. (Psalm 148:1-5, Col 1:16, Isaiah 14, Rev 12)

End Times

We believe that the church will be caught up to meet the Lord in the air. We believe that the earth will experience seven years of tribulation worse than ever before. We believe that the antichrist will be empowered by Satan. We believe that Jesus will return to rule and reign upon the earth for one thousand years. We believe that those who reject God's plan of salvation will experience eternal judgment in hell, and that Heaven will be the glorious eternity for those who receive God's plan of salvation. [Isaiah 11:1-10, Daniel 7:19-25, Zechariah 14:6-11, Matthew 25:31-46, 1 Corinthians 15:35-49, 2 Corinthians 12:1-4, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, 2 Thessalonians 2:1-12, Revelation 6-22]

Marriage

We believe that marriage has been instituted by God as an exclusive covenantal union of one man and one woman in a lifetime commitment. Legitimate sexual relations are exercised solely within marriage. A civil government’s sanction of a union will be recognized as a legitimate marriage by the church only to the extent that it is consistent with this definition of marriage. [Genesis 2:18-25, Matthew 19:1-12, 1 Corinthians 7:1-16, Ephesians 5:22-33]
