Following God With All Your Heart, by Elizabeth George

It seems so hard to follow God with your whole heart, there are so many things trying to capture the attention of my heart that stress knows not to lay dormant for long. But I’m sure you know that the only one you won’t ever regret giving your heart to is the Lord Himself. To follow God with all your heart, means you're no fair-weathered Christian. When things couldn’t be better your aim should be to do what pleases the Lord, when the going gets tough your aim should be to do what pleases the Lord, when things are so awful there is no way things could get worse your aim should be to do what pleases the Lord, then when things do indeed get worse your aim should be to do what pleases the Lord. Following God with all your heart means giving not just your heart, but also your entire life to God. Your speech, your relationships, your hobbies, your possessions, your thoughts, your body, and your attitude – these things are His, does it show? Though being a modern day David isn’t an easy task, there is no better gain than Jesus and the knowledge that He is for you. Do you know what hidden gem there is in truly giving your heart to God? Realizing that God has given His heart to you.-Justine
