Genesis 17:12, Were servants made to worship their master's God?

Question: In vs 12 it refers to the foreign purchased servants as being part of the covenant. In those days, did servants that were purchased MADE TO worship their master's god? Could a servant reject the circumcision? Answer: The servants being circumcised would not be an act of worship for the servants, but for their master. Abraham circumcised his whole household out of obedience to God, it was Abraham's act of worship and obedience, the servants did not have a say in the matter. That being said, I would guess that most servants were required to worship the God, or false god, their master worshiped. See 1 Kings 5:17-19 as an example of this. -PJ
