Genesis 27, Was the deception predetermined by God?

Question: Why does it appears that Esau is getting the short end of the stick and he has done nothing wrong.  Jacob has tricked his brother and father however he is getting all the blessing. I dont believe predetermine distanies however God allowed it for a reason and it appears that Esau didn't have a chance. Im guess because of the linerage of Jesus Christ falls within Jacobs line not Esau. But then was it predetermined by God? Thanks Answer: God declared that the older (Esau) would serve the younger (Jacob) before they were born in Genesis 25:23. You can look at this two ways. 1-God knew what they would do, so He said it in advance. 2-God had a different plan, but they forced their own plan. To me that makes more sense, much like Abraham trying to fulfil God's plan by marrying Hagar. Now regarding Esau doing nothing wrong, consider Hebrews 12:16-17. -PJ
