Genesis 26, Where did Isaac go in the time of famine?

Question: Isaac left like his father Abraham did in the time of the famine, where does he left to I don't understand? God told him what land? Answer: It seems that Isaac was normally dwelling in the south east part of the land of Canaan, close to the Dead Sea. When famine came he went further south and west towards the Mediterranean Sea, which is where the Philistines dwelt. God told Isaac not to go to Egypt, so he stayed in Gerar along with the Philistines. (Genesis 26:2-6) -PJ
