Exodus 34:1, Did Moses get in trouble for destroying the tablets?

Question: Exd 34:1 And the LORD said to Moses, "Cut two tablets of stone like the first [ones], and I will write on [these] tablets the words that were on the first tablets which you broke. Did Moises get in trouble for destroying the first ones? and would take the long to do them again? Answer: We do not have any record of God rebuking Moses for breaking the tablets. When Moses loses his temper and strikes the rock later, he misrepresented God in his anger and God rebuked him for it. In this instance, his anger was righteous anger and not a misrepresentation of God. Moses will spend another 40 days on the mountain to rewrite the tablets. -PJ
