Leviticus 1:6, What is flay?

Question: What is flay? & Why did the sons of Aaron have to cut up into pieces the bullock? Answer: Flay is the word used in the King James Version. Flay (verb): to strip off the skin or outer covering. They would remove the skin before offering the animal on the altar. God had them cut the animal into pieces because different parts were offered in different ways, for example verse 9 says the legs and entrails with water. -PJ
