Numbers 20:24, What disobedience is God talking about?

Question: Num 20:24 "The time has come for Aaron to join his ancestors in death. He will not enter the land I am giving the people of Israel, because the two of you rebelled against my instructions concerning the water at Meribah. Is this the only time that talks about his disobedience or was it also when he made the calf? Answer: Aaron was wrong in making the golden calf (Exodus 32), but God did not keep Aaron out of the promised land for that. Here in Numbers 20, Aaron and Moses are told they will not enter the promised land because of their unbelief in the way they behaved when the people were thirsty (Numbers 20:12). That unbelief and anger is what cost them the promised land. -PJ
